Habitat for Humanity Middlesex (HFHM) is a 501(c)(3) organization under the group tax exempt status granted to Habitat for Humanity International by IRS. Donations are tax deductible and receipts are available.

Gently used furniture, appliances, medical equipment, clothing, linens, and other household items are accepted at the Cryer Center to generate funding for Habitat through bi-monthly yard sales open to the public.


Pickup can be arranged for larger items, such as refrigerators, sofas, etc., by contacting the Cryer Center at

804-758-2044 and leave a message.  

The following items cannot be accepted:  


  • Mattresses

  • Car Seats, Cribs

  • TVs that are not flat-screen 

  • Damaged or soiled furniture

  • Computers or related items

  • Appliances that do not look fairly new and are not fully functional

  • Water heaters more than 5 years old

  • Anything with a gasoline engine that does not start

  • Automotive tires or batteries

  • Opened Paint cans

Building materials are also needed for the houses. Please call or email to arrange.
